Submit a need

Bring a genuine need forward for verification

Support should not depend on who you know. Any eligible institution or authorized representative can bring a need forward, and it will be reviewed on its evidence.

Two steps

Create an account, then apply to become a verified requester

Anyone may register — supporters from the diaspora, well-wishers, institutions and partners. Submitting a need is different: it places a real family, school or clinic in front of the public. Before an account can submit, a verification officer confirms who you are and on whose behalf you act. You apply either as a registered institution or as a community representative with a referee we can call.

Who may submit

  • Schools and school administrations
  • Clinics and community health facilities
  • Community organizations and women's groups
  • Approved NGOs and development partners
  • County representatives and authorized local officials
  • Child welfare institutions
  • Recognized community leaders acting for a family, group or settlement

What to prepare

  • What is needed, stated plainly
  • Who will benefit and how many people
  • The county and the community where the need is located
  • Why the need matters now
  • How much support is required, with quotations where possible
  • How the support should be delivered
  • What result you expect once it is delivered
  • Supporting letters, documents or photographs of the site

How to submit during the pilot

The online submission workspace opens with the controlled pilot. Until then, needs are received by telephone or in person at the office, recorded by the intake team and entered into the same verification process.
